What needs to be considered with regard to the SIM card, how is it inserted, and how is the modem configured?
1. The SIM card PIN must be deactivated before inserting it into the device!
2. Before installation, check that the SIM card has been activated!
3. The following video shows how to insert the SIM card into a smartRAIL system.
4. Once the SIM card has been inserted, you must connect to the device using the optiControl software and ensure that the modem is switched on and the correct APN for the provider has been entered. If the ICCID of the SIM card is displayed correctly, the SIM card is recognized by the system. If “error” is displayed, the card is not recognized correctly. This may be because the card has been inserted upside down or is not properly locked into the holder.
